Laser cladding is a method of depositing material in which a powdered metal is melted and consolidated by use of a laser in order to coat the base material. It can be used to improve mechanical properties and corrosion resistance.
The advantages of this process are:
- Coating of any shape easily
- Repairing parts
- Low dilution between track and substrate
- High cooling rate
- Material flexibility
- Compact technology
Quest 4 Alloys can provide powdered material in particle sizes for laser cladding, we can also quote on this process.
